The purpose of this paper is to discuss the Greek art sculpture “Grave stele of Hegeso. Carved out of marble at 5’ 2” high, this sculpture was created around 400 BCE by relatives of Hegeso. It was found in Athens’ ancient Keramikos cemetery. This statue depicts the deceased woman picking out jewelry with a maidservant.
